About the position: As a Transportation Engineer you will be responsible for the development, optimization and implementation of dedicated transportation solutions for new and existing Menlo customers. You will not be account responsible, but you will act as a transportation architect, supporting the account and business development teams. Menlo’s Transportation Management Services system will provide you the correct data, enabling you to built state of the art logistics solutions, resulting in happy and returning customers. 
Your responsibilities:
• Providing input for Customer proposals to meet customer requirements;
• Creating the transportation process design and carrier mix solution;
• Sizing of staffing requirements for the TM solution;
• Prepare and execute presentations for customers;
• Execute network analyses and Transportation network optimization by using specific software e.g. CAPS;
• Project Management for the transportation solutions within customer projects;
• Development of SOPs and work instructions for the transportation solutions.

About your qualification:
• Bachelor/MBA/Masters in Supply Chain or Logistics
• Minimum 5 years experience in Transportation analyses and engineering;
• Preferably 2-5  year experiences in network optimization and transportation network design;
• Knowledge of the European Road, Air and Ocean transportation market in a B2B and B2C environment;
• Preferably experience in implementing system driven TM solutions;
• Strong analytical and “numbers” skills;
• Operational and consultancy experience ;
• Strong, capable project management skills;
• High level understanding of TMS capabilities and solutions;
• Strong written and oral communications skills, multiple languages (English is required; German is a plus);
• Commercial sensitivity.Menlo Worldwide offers;
