Role

Control the optimum between price, lead-time, delivery reliability and technology/quality in an international, technological and highly dynamic environment.
Because of the importance of time-to-market, flexibility and pressure resistance are crucial competences in this role. The semi-conductor industry characteristics and the company culture stimulate independent, pro-active team-players.

Main Tasks

Develop & implement a sourcing strategy (suppliers/intercompany) for an allocated commodity (Mechanical/Electromechanical subsystems or PCBA/Electronics).
Drive continuous improvement in supply base KPI's. Including total cost reduction, quality, responsiveness & inventory.
Maximize the purchasing power by building and using global internal purchasing networks. Support new product development initiatives, and closely cooperate with R&D. Develop & implement a supply risk management program.
Develop long term relationships with key suppliers to secure supplies and import technology. Manage the process of supplier selection and qualification.
Translate and maintain supplier agreements in the ERP system (SAP).

Profile

• Young and dynamic person with a technical degree, e.g. engineer, or equivalent through experience,
• 3 to 8 years experience in a technical environment (preferably semi-conductor industry)
• An assertive and perseverant personality, together with an ability to be diplomatic and persuasive; Drive for results, strong action oriented
• Experience with SAP (SAP R/3) is favorable
• Fluent in English
• Demonstrated experience in Project management and data analysis.
• Good understanding of supply chain fundamentals
