Our client

Our client is a global designer and manufacturer of direct drive wind turbines active in Europe, North America and Asia. They company client was established in 2004 and is based in the Netherlands. The company has an extensive product line, an engineering department covering all relevant disciplines and a dedicated service and maintenance organization.

The Company delivers single turbines as well as wind farms on a turn-key basis. The company offers a broad range of direct drive turbines under the brand name DIRECTWIND. The sub megawatt range includes a 500kW, 750kW and 900kW turbine. As of 2011, the company offers a 2MW direct drive turbine which is part of the company’s multi megawatt range. In addition, the company is developing a 3MW direct drive turbine.

About the position

Our client is looking for an experienced Technical Buyer, whose main purpose will be the international purchase of technical materials / components for our windturbines. You will manage contract negotiations, supplierrelations and all related issues concerning the purchase of building blocks and take care of purchasing balance of plants (BOP).

In short your main responsibilities:

• Negotiate and contract technical materials
• Assist in global supply chain long term forecasting
• Work and plan with IFS (ERP system)
• Organize Supplier management
• Control orders and progress of suppliers
• Responsible for all transport and planning of building blocks
• Projectmanagement: Supervise and execute BOP procurement for local projects

Your profile

Requirements

• Technical knowledge of products and a technical degree at bachelor level
• Preferably NEVI 1 / 2 or equivalent
• Multiple years of relevant practical experience (at least 5 years) in international purchase and logistics of similar products
• Familiar with ERP systems planning tools and production related documentation
• Commercial awareness and initiative
• Excellent (international) communication and time management skills
• Fluent in Dutch and English (German is a plus)
• Structured in work and presentation
• Creative, trouble solving attitude
