The BG’s R&D organization adds value to customers by understanding their needs and using state of the art technologies like LED and dedicated controls to develop innovative products and solutions designed around them. The Purchasing organization supports the development of new products, drives value engineering and ensures a smoothly operating supply chain.
The Development Group in Winterswijk, being part of the Regional Business Unit Professional Luminaires, generates products for indoor applications like offices, hospitals, shops and industry. The Development Group is rapidly transforming into an organization using the latest LED technologies and controls and is networking with partners to deliver advanced solutions. Recent achievements are the introduction of a fully LED based indoor luminaire with an outstanding design.
For the Purchasing organization of the RBU EMEA Professional Luminaires we are looking for a senior project buyer (DH1265), located at the Development Group in Winterswijk.

The position
As Senior Project Buyer you will contribute to driving projects forward and ensure timely delivery of innovative technical solutions for our customers. This is a new opening within the department and you will have the opportunity to bring new ideas, shape and form to the role.
Your initial responsibilities will be as follows:

Supplier management
• Establish and maintain a value adding supplier network and remain up to date with the state of the art technologies, modules and components.
• Be responsible for the supplier choice decision making process and assures that this is in line with commodity teams strategies and guidelines and with the logistical requirements of the receiving factory
• Organize supplier assessments
• Involve suppliers in PRIP projects (ESI= Early Supplier Involvement, co design)
• Inform commodity teams and suppliers on project roadmap, resulting in finding suppliers which are ‘future proof’

Project management
• Support development teams for the definition of requirements to suppliers (global supply chain requirements)
• Contribute to the innovation planning process by feeding forward trends and solutions available in the supply network
• Be co-responsible for successful project development, realizing performance, cost, quality and planning targets with the project team.
• Detect & minimize risks in projects related to the supply base
• Prepare handover documents for the receiving factory at MS 1

Quality
• Ensure that Philips specifications are formulated clearly, transparent & realistic and do-able from supplier perspective
• Coordinate the launch RFQ for estimation of tool costs & BOM costs in close cooperation with the commodity teams;
• Negotiate tool & module/component costs in alignment with the Strategic Buyers
• Support quality tools approach towards suppliers : Design for Six Sigma (DfSS) and Advance quality planning (AQP) in cooperation with SQM
• Contribute to measuring and reporting on supplier performance.


Your Profile
The candidate we are looking for has an University degree in technology related studies ( e.g.mechanical engineering or materials science) and 5 years of experience in product development or 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or 3-5 years of experience in project management
