Our client is a growing international company active in the development, manufacturing and marketing for the automotive industry.
For their Headquarters in Brussels, they are looking for a new colleague in the Purchasing division of interior car parts.
You will regularly make short or mid-long international business trips.

Job Description:

• Investigate the market to find new suppliers in order to achieve the best market price
• By different strategies you request quotations to appropriate suppliers. You pursue and deliver cost reductions by encouraging improvements of the manufacturing and logistics process and by negotiation.
• Make supplier selections
• Follow up your suppliers throughout the project
• Audit appropriate suppliers for conformity to the needs and desired standards in production (productivity, quality, safety, health and environment) in relation to the price).
• Work with different commodities

Qualifications:

• Master degree, degree of commercial engineering is an asset
• Some experience is required (max. 3 years), preferably automotive industry. Technical knowledge of production process in industrial environment can compensate lack of experience in automotive industry
• Fluent in English or German is an asset
• Eager to learn and have an affinity with mechanical aspects of production methods
• Interest in automotive industry, how things are made and low cost are built
• Driving license B
• Willing to travel abroad for short to mid long terms
• Team player
• Flexibility and adaptability are very strong assets for this function.
