With an annual external spend exceeding 100 million Euros the Supply Management department is key to the business organisation. Its main accountability is to create a competitive advantage by reducing the ‘Cost of Ownership’ for externally supplied materials and services.

PROCUREMENT MANAGER BENELUX AN259
Indirect Materials & Services
(based in Zaventem, Etten-Leur or Rotterdam)


Position:
You will develop and implement a Benelux-wide procurement process and aim for continued improvement in your areas of responsibility. You will report directly into the CEO. Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing procurement management plans for the Benelux organisation through introduction of concrete goals and objectives as well as facilitating it’s cost-effective accomplishment;
  • Ensuring procurement management operations are in accordance with global group policies, directives and procedures;
  • Implementing a supplier qualification system and process;
  • Supporting the business organisation in developing and negotiating SLA agreements with key suppliers and acting as focal point for external supplier contacts;
  • Analyzing external spend and continuously seeking leverages to reduce Total Cost of Ownership;
  • Guiding and coaching a team of supply management employees (including fleet management) and working closely together with the Buyers and Purchasers in the business organisation.

Profile: 

  •  Higher education (min. Bachelor level) or equivalent based on experience;
  • Minimum 5 years experience and a proven track record in a similar position;
  • Good knowledge of English is a must, knowledge of Dutch and French is an asset;
  • You have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written);
  • You have a good understanding of business operations in a multinational environment;
  • You present strong leadership and change management abilities;
  • You are an excellent negotiator;
  • You are result oriented and have a strong analytical mindset;
  • You have outstanding interpersonal skills combined with intercultural sensitivity;
  • You are prepared to travel within the Benelux region.
