About the new to establish Print Supply Platform office (PSP) office in Hilversum (The Netherlands)
Flint Group has decided to group a number of activities in a new company known as Flint Group Print Supply Platform BV in The Netherlands. For many years Flint Group has already been active in The Netherlands in 4 locations (Winschoten, Deventer, ‘s-Gravenzande and Helmond). This new company will focus on Global Purchasing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and other associated activities, including financial services and operational management. The current plan is to be fully operational for phase 1 in Q1 2016, with approximately 22 people. In the later stages the number of employees in the office will grow to 40 people and it is foreseen that many colleagues from other locations will regularly work from the PSP office. The office is located in Hilversum in walking distance of the Central Station. While in recent benchmarks studies Flint Group Procurement scored first quartile delivery , in line with attitude and group culture, Flint management have decided to further centralize / globalize Procurement and develop a new global platform that will provide enhanced management and greater control. Part of the plan is to incorporate other critical procurement areas such as Indirect materials and services, hedging, e-sourcing and develop and design the inbound supply chain function to support the globalization and establishment of the new PSP platform.
About the role
As Flint Group PSP will adapt the structure of inbound materials you will monitor and correct where necessary the administration and handling of the raw materials flows going into the different sites and regions. You will make sure that the administration is fully aligned with the physical flows and reach out to the sites and/or suppliers when necessary. You will also play a crucial role in bringing different stock points, spread around in Europe together and will plan, coordinate and order the raw materials held centrally for both the sites in Europe as well as the overseas countries. You will monitor overall supplier performance and follow up supplier complaints when necessary. Any consignment stock agreement agreed by the central buyers should be put into action by yourself.
The role reports to the Inbound Supply Chain Manager EMEA.
You know your industry. Logistics and especially material planning principles in an international environment are well known to you. You are not afraid for a changing environment and get excited at being part of the new Supply Chain design for inbound. You will not give up and follow up on issues until resolved. Multitasking comes naturally and you are stress averse. Flint Group is not your average run-of-the mill type of multinational. The company culture is no-nonsense based and highly entrepreneurial. Straightforward communication, strong interpersonal skills and taking initiative are highly regarded. Proficiency in Dutch or another language such as Spanish, French or German is not required, but is a distinct plus. The International travel component is estimated at approx 10 % of your time.
